It may be described as one who is attentive to his children's needs and desires, listening to them, and working with the child's mother to provide mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual support. In addition, it is a man who cares about himself physically, eating healthy foods and exercises.
Steps to take to be a healthy dad……..
Provide "time" with your kids.
Fathers should feel good about themselves when their children feel valued. The reason is because you are taking a genuine interest in them. Fathers are one of the pillars of their kids' emotional state and well-being, helping them build their character. A dad provides security for his children because of the love he shows them. Fathers should act as healthy role model and also help to encourage their children's spiritual health.

How long do you want to live? Do you want to be around long enough to see your kids marry, maybe go to college, have careers, and/or have a family?
Looking at his life ahead is essential instead of just the pleasures of today.

Be at a healthy weight
Why is that important? A person who is not overweight has a healthier heart and lungs and has reduced toxic belly fat, which will help extend one's life.
The "How To's" to a Healthy Weight
- Consume enough protein each day without overdoing it. Four ounces of meat serving instead of 12 ounces is the way to succeed.
- Drink healthy beverages which are low calorie and low sugar. Say no to the colas and drinks that are loaded with sugar
- Reduce sugar in your diet, which means stop or reduce the candy, cake, cookies, and ice cream. It is not forever, but it will help you to reduce weight.
- Hydrate by drinking more water throughout the day.
- Consume more fiber-rich foods such as fruit, vegetables, and possibly a fiber supplement.
- Intermittent fasting may not only help you to control your food intake but also help you lose weight.
- Manage your stress levels. Individuals who are unable to tolerate stress many times lose control of their food intake (calories)
Choose to break unhealthy habits
As everyone knows, smoking is a terrible habit bad for one's health. Secondhand smoke is also harmful. Cardiovascular, pulmonary, and cellular health is restricted when a person chooses to smoke. The best advice is to get help, which many men have problems asking. You are not only saving your life, but by not, it also causes pain to your loved ones who could lose you. This also includes excessive alcohol or recreational drug use, which has health-damaging effects.
Decide to consume adequate vitamins and minerals daily
Men, as well as women, need to consume a sufficient amount of nutrients to keep their bodies healthy.
One may consider a plant-based diet with vitamin and mineral-rich foods, including dark-colored fruits and vegetables and whole grains. These foods contain antioxidants and a rich source of fiber.

Zinc is a mineral needed to manufacture protein in the body. It is also necessary for the immune system. Food containing zinc includes red meat, seafood, and poultry. If a man is following a vegetarian diet, he may lack zinc. Therefore a multiple vitamin-mineral containing zinc may be necessary.
In general, this is an important mineral in small amounts for men for bone health. However, too much has indicated some problems with the prostate gland.
This is an essential mineral for men since it performs different functions in the body, including keeping muscles and bones healthy. Low levels have been associated with prostate problems. Men are known to ignore health problem symptoms, calling the doctor, and make appointments. Therefore, be assertive and schedule with your doctor yearly checkups. In addition, be self-aware of how you feel and check your weight and blood pressure from time to time.
