A common misunderstanding is that Vitamin C, by itself, is effective to fortify the immune system.   While Vitamin C does provide several immune benefits, being a preventative is not one of them.  It does however assist the immune system and provides many other benefits to keep you healthy and support your immune system.

Vitamin C — also known as ascorbic acid — is a water-soluble vitamin found in an abundant number of vegetables and fruits, primarily citrus fruits, but can also be consumed via dietary supplements.

While vitamin C may not directly reduce your chances of coming into contact with immune challenges, it may assist in minimizing your illness.
